These women specific cycling pants are made to fit women cyclists, and are designed for maximum comfort while riding a bike. These capri length bike pants were designed and produced by Nalini (a.k.a. Moa Sport) in Italy. Moa sport makes the kits (uniforms) for many of the pro teams. If you have a look at clips from the Tour de France, you will see many of the riders sporting the Moa logo on their cycling jerseys and shorts.
"Cycling knickers" is the common lingo for biking tights or capri length cycling pants. Makes them ound like they could be cycling underwear. How that came to be, I have no idea. Maybe a British thing. Who knows?
When I first saw the design for these, I thought the seam above the knee was a bit strange. Now I LOVE it. Can't believe no one else has thought of this. It adds just a little extra room for your bent knees and some style as well. I love how these look, and I love how they fit. They also have a gel strip strategically located inside the pad and gripper elastic around the hem and the waist to keep them in place. You can get a better idea from the pictures in one of the detail pages by clicking on one of the knickers below.
The fabric is lightweight enough make to them very versatile - you don't need to wait until it gets really cold to wear them. In fact, sometimes I wear them for sun and wind protection. Save your knees! Wear cycling knickers :)
